Yr6s and Class 5 Drayton Manor Park Trip – Tuesday 30th June 2026
Dear parents and carers,
Class 5 – Drayton Manor Park Trip – Tuesday 30th June 2026
For the end of term trip, this year, all Year 6’s and Class 5 are off to Drayton Manor Park! We will be leaving immediately after registration and will return to school at approximately 4pm.
The children will be transported to the park via coach and will be accompanied by members of school staff. All children will require a packed lunch and a labelled water bottle (no glass/cans please).
All children who are FSM eligible will receive a packed lunch (consisting of a cheese sandwich, fruit, yogurt or cheese item, biscuit or cake and a bottle of water) provided by school on the morning of the trip. This must be ordered in advance (and no later than Friday 19th June to ensure caterers have time to order sufficient supplies) by either emailing school, indicating accordingly on Arbor or alternatively advising (also on Arbor) you will provide a lunch from home.
Please be aware all children should wear their school sweatshirt, (Year 6’s can wear their hoodies) and they will need to wear weather appropriate suitable outdoor clothes. Children may also need sun cream applied before school and a sun hat, or possibly even a raincoat, weather dependent!
Please ensure children have a labelled water bottle (no glass/cans please) to drink during the day.
We would ask that children bring a small rucksack to carry their lunch and water bottle to allow them to be hands free to participate fully. Please note, children should not bring their mobile phones on this trip, all phones will be kept safe in the school office as usual and returned once children are back at school.
We are delighted to inform parents, due to St Luke’s being awarded a substantial grant (£800!) from Telford and Wrekin Councillors Pride Fund, which is being used to cover some of the transport and admission costs, the cost which would have been more than £35.00 per pupil is now just £12.50 per pupil! This must be paid on Arbor.
We will be photographing pupils participating in activities throughout the day but if you do not wish your child to be included, or you change your mind regarding photographs at any point, please contact St Luke’s prior to the event.
If you have any queries, please contact the school office.
Yours faithfully,
Mr P Duffield
Class 5 Teacher
