Jewellery, Valuables and Mobile Phones

JEWELLERY AND VALUABLES
Children should not wear jewellery to school. Children who have pierced ears may wear studs but these must be removed by the children themselves, before PE and games lessons. This is an essential safety requirement as some children (not at St. Luke’s) have had their ears badly torn where an earring or stud has become caught up. Watches may be worn but we cannot accept any responsibility for them. This applies to other valuables as well such as cameras that children may wish to bring on a school trip. Children should not bring money to school unless for a specific purpose.
MOBILE PHONES
These are not allowed in school. However, where parents are concerned with regard to their child‟s safety eg with older children travelling to and from school by themselves and would like their children to carry a mobile phone we can arrange to look after such phones during the school day – on NO account must they be left in bags/coats
