Forest School

At St Luke’s, we are very lucky to have access to Chetwynd Deer Park near Newport for our Forest School sessions with a trained Forest School leader – Mrs Lambord.

We attend Forest School throughout the year, come rain or shine. Forest School is only ever cancelled if there is strong wind. Every child will attend 3 dedicated Forest School days with half of their class each year with the addition of a whole school Forest School day in the summer term.

Forest School activities include: bush craft, cooking, planting, nature walks, playing in the mud kitchen and so much more!

Children should come to school dressed ready for Forest School in waterproofs, hard-toed boots or wellies and scarves, gloves, hats or sun-cream and sun-hat (depending on the time of year).
