PE

ur scheme of work for PE is called ‘Power of PE’ and includes gymnastics, games, dance, athletics, skipping, archery, swimming, outdoor adventurous activities, as well as well known team games such as football and rounders. Each class has two timetabled PE lessons per week.
There are 10 swimming lessons for children in Key Stage 2 every summer term at Oakengates Leisure Centre. By the time children leave St. Luke’s nearly all are competent swimmers.

Extra-curricular sporting opportunities
Mr Cunnington runs an afterschool football club for our Year 5 and 6 pupils. Other opportunities occur throughout the academic year to all children.
