KS1 Writing Competition

“If I were an Animal I Would be (and why?) ”

All pupils in class 1 and 2 are invited to enter a writing competition being run by Our Lady Help of Christians Multi-Academy Trust.

Three pupils work will be selected as the winners for St Luke’s. These pieces of work will be sent to the Judging panel at the Multi-Academy trust and will be St Luke’s entries into the regional and trust competitions.

All children are invited to write 50 – 150 words to explain if I were and animal, I would be and (why). Would you soar like an eagle, bounce like a Kangaroo or run as fast as a cheetah? Think carefully about your choice of animal and your descriptive choices.

Get thinking and start writing!

All entries should be returned to school by Friday 27^th February 2026.
